PDR (Paintless Dent Repair) is a method of removing minor dents and dings without removing any paint or using body filler. Technicians use specialized tools to gently massage the metal back to its original shape from behind — preserving your factory finish entirely.
PDR is the closest you can get to the dent never happening. It's typically 1/4 to 1/3 the cost of conventional repair, takes hours instead of weeks, preserves your original factory paint (protecting resale value), and produces zero chemical waste. Most hail damage is fully fixed within 1–3 days.
No. Modern factory paints are highly flexible and will not be damaged by the PDR process. No sanding, fillers, or repainting are involved — your original paint stays completely intact.
